20 ft Open Side Container
A container with broad access along its long side, reducing dependence on loading exclusively through the end doors. It is considered for wider equipment, palletised products and storage layouts that require lateral access. The opening side, hinge arrangement and clear aperture depend on the configuration. Site planning must preserve space for the side doors and handling equipment to operate.

The defining feature of an Open Side container is access along a long face of the enclosure. Materials that are awkward to move through an end doorway can be positioned laterally with suitable handling equipment. In a daily storage operation, this can also make it easier to reach stock beyond the front row. The actual clear aperture must be checked against the selected door configuration.
Opening the long side requires an unobstructed working zone beside the container. Door leaves, forklift movement and pedestrian routes should not conflict. The behaviour of open doors in wind and their means of restraint belong in the operating plan. Stored materials must also be arranged so that they do not bear uncontrolled loads against the door assembly.
Broad side access can offer flexibility in display, temporary retail or workshop conversion projects.
