10 ft Compact Container
A compact steel enclosure for materials, equipment and spare parts where available space is limited. Lockable end doors and a short footprint make it…
A High Cube container offering more internal height than a standard 40-foot enclosure. It is considered for light but bulky goods, taller packages and internal fit-out projects. Additional height does not automatically mean a higher permitted cargo weight: usable volume, doorway clearance and load limits must be assessed together. Site and delivery access also need to accommodate the taller body.
Dimensions, equipment and delivery scope are confirmed in the approved project.
A CLOSER LOOK
The central benefit of a High Cube container is additional interior height within the same nominal length class. It is particularly relevant where packaging height, shelving or a stacking arrangement would be restricted by a standard dry enclosure. Clearance should be checked at the doorway as well as beneath the roof, because an item must first enter the container before its full internal height becomes useful.
A larger-volume body does not remove weight restrictions. With dense or heavy materials, the container tare, permitted cargo mass and local forces transferred into the floor remain important. For lightweight products, packaging geometry and unused gaps may be more significant. A useful enquiry therefore includes quantities, packed dimensions and total weight rather than a request for volume alone.
When a High Cube is used as a fixed store or fitted-out work area, insulation, lighting and services can reduce the available interior dimensions. New openings and partitions should be coordinated with the technical design. Overhead obstructions, cables, nearby trees and the space required for lifting also affect the placement decision. Assessing these conditions early allows the additional height to serve a practical purpose throughout the container’s use.
The longer body of the 40-foot class provides space for long items or larger product quantities. Site approach and handling distances must be planned accordingly. Internal and external dimensions are not interchangeable. Numerical catalogue values assist selection, while the exact dimensions, equipment configuration and load limits are confirmed at quotation stage.
